Dmitri Cherniak

Dmitri Cherniakis, a Canadian artist, has been at the forefront of the crypto art movement since 2014 when he embarked on his involvement in the world of cryptocurrencies. His journey began by implementing Coinbase’s tripping widget to enable crowdfunding for Bitcoin journalism, showcasing his early foray into the intersection of art and blockchain technology.

In 2019, Cherniakis made his first foray into the world of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) by minting a unique piece for Jake Brukhman on the OpenSea platform. Since then, he has continued to push the boundaries of digital art and blockchain integration.

One of his significant contributions to the NFT space is the unique p5js script he created, stored on Ethereum via ArtBlocks. This innovative script allows for the automated production of a distinct generation of art, bringing together art and technology in an unprecedented manner.

Cherniakis is most notably recognized for his remarkable “Ringers” series, which comprises 1,000 NFTs. In this series, he utilizes different combinations of string and peg layouts to create captivating geometric works of art without human interaction, showcasing his mastery of generative art.

More recently, he has unveiled his “Eternal Pump” series, featuring an edition of 50 NFTs. This mesmerizing collection showcases animated concentric rings using a combination of Javascript and GLSL, further exploring the fusion of art and cutting-edge technology.
